With the looming expectation to restore the Reds to the Premier League top four Rodgers will be purring with delight that Gerrard is currently at the epicentre of a renaissance tornado. £35 million frontman Andy Carroll is also rediscovering his former self with some imperious displays for his country. It all bodes well for the Northern Irishman who’s career as a top-flight manager will be defined by the upcoming campaign.
