Leeds United fans on Twitter are baffled by the decision to give Yosuke Ideguchi a four-and-a-half-year contract when he signed back in 2018.
The Japan international now seems set to leave Elland Road as his former club Gamba Osaka have been showing an interest in his services.
Ideguchi can’t be described as anything other than a flop at Leeds having failed to make a single appearance for the Whites.
He was instead sent out on loan to both Spain and Germany, but it seems that he will never get a chance at the Yorkshire club as a permanent move seems close to completion.
Certain supporters pointed the finger at Victor Orta for offering the youngster such a long deal despite the fact he was an unproven quantity, while others believe that his signing was more a marketing ploy to earn more supporters in Japan.
