After spent his first few months in the treatment room he made a few sporadic appearances toward the end of the 2009/10 season before spending the last campaign on loan at Juventus.
His performances in Turin seem to have impressed officials at the San Siro with owner Silvio Berlusconi confessing his admiration for the player.

Milan are desperate to strengthen their midfield and have targeted the 27-year-old after missing out on Fiorentina’s Ricardo Montolivo.
Anfield boss Kenny Dalglish is keen to move the Italian on to balance the books after an expensive summer on Mersey side.
It’s expected that the club will make a huge loss on Aquilani but Dalglish needs to start bringing money into the club after shelling out over a £100 million since his return at the start of the year.
