The Baggies have an option to buy from parent club Sporting Lisbon for £9m, which either depends on appearances or whether they earn promotion to the Premier League.
Pereira joined the club on deadline day and has since gone on to score twice and provide four assists in just six starts, per WhoScored, while at the same time becoming a real favourite amongst fans – certainly if their reaction to this news is anything to go by.
