da betsul： Ronald Koeman’s arrival at Everton is a sad sign for the Premier League in many ways. Southampton are continuously seeing their best players and managers picked off each summer and a club with such promise have lost one of the best in Europe. However, Saints’ loss is Everton’s gain and Koeman is the perfect manager to take on a highly-talented squad with the backing of a new investor.
da pinup bet： Although his initial battle will largely be about retaining his current stars, Koeman will quickly be looking to boost his squad with severe investment and Toffees fans would surely hope that there has already been extensive scouting into potential targets.
Everton fans are accustomed to a bit of transfer teasing each summer and the arrival of Koeman will see the rumour mill go in to overdrive. Clubs will be seeing Everton as a potential buyer for their stars and may be used to bump the value up. However, it could yet be a great summer for them.
So, here are FIVE players Koeman must consider…
Marquinhos
A transfer that would probably shake much of European football, there is no reason that Koeman can’t give it a try considering the new-found ambition at Goodison Park.
The potential of a John Stones and Marquinhos central defensive partnership is quite superb. Paris Saint Germain are unlikely to let a player of Marquinhos’ career trajectory and quality go, but, with the investment at Everton, they could test the resolve of the French club.
Moussa Sissoko
Although his attitude can often be questioned, Sissoko is a dangerous footballer on his day and a versatile player who would offer a lot to Koeman’s squad.
Considering the searing counter-attacks often seen by Koeman’s Southampton team, Sissoko seems the perfect player to slot in to that sort of pattern. Pace and power from central midfield, the right or from off the striker, Sissoko would always be a threat.
Jetro Willems
Leighton Baines seems to be ageing at an accelerated rate right now.
Therefore, a left-back is likely to be high up on Koeman’s list this summer. Willems is a Dutch star who is renowned for his attacking prowess, rather than his defensive solidity. The demands of playing full-back are high physically and the pacey Dutchman would surely be a tempting signing for Koeman.

Jan Kirchhoff
A defensive midfield player is an absolute must for Koeman. Gareth Barry is nearing retirement, whilst James McCarthy is struggling to find the form that he did a couple of seasons ago.
Kirchhoff has stepped up under Sam Allardyce at Sunderland since signing in January and shown he can easily play in the Premier League. Assured in possession and very aware when off the ball, Kirchhoff would be an ideal addition.

Jasper Cillessen
Tim Howard is yet to be reliably replaced by the Toffees and that must be a priority this summer.
Joel Robles continues to perform in sporadic periods and it will reassure Everton’s low-confidence defence if they can have a reputable goalkeeper behind them.
