da realsbet: Tottenham Hotspur had one good moment against Manchester United.
They lost 2-1 but that Spurs goal is going to be replayed and repeated on playgrounds across the country for the next few weeks and months and maybe even years.
With Spurs 1-0 down and struggling, they mounted an attack.
The ball found its way to the right flank and a cross from Serge Aurier was repelled by David de Gea’s feet. The ball ballooned into the air and with Alli marked by both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Ashley Young, he produced a moment of genuine elegance.
He didn’t just control the ball, he brought it under his spell and took both full-backs out of the game before poking it past the United goalkeeper.
It didn’t just bring Spurs level, it left commentator Clive Tyldesley, on Amazon Prime, gobsmacked. “That’s brilliant”, he barked, “absolutely brilliant”.
Alli has looked a man rejuvenated under Mourinho, scoring four goals in four games and also providing one assist.
But this was an incredible reminder that he has all the ability in the world and that it just needs harnessing.
Under Mauricio Pochettino, he was all too regularly played out of position on either flank but Mourinho has him in the box, shimmying past defenders and attempting to create chances.

And that one moment, reminiscent of Dimitar Berbatov, a silky, classy striker who played for both United and Spurs, is instructive of his rejuvenation.
The flair inherent within Alli was on show at Old Trafford and he has been one of the key beneficiaries of Mourinho’s reign early on.
Spurs may have lost but the signs are good for the midfielder – he is on the up and only looks set to get better.
Meanwhile, another Spurs player endured a horror show at Old Trafford.
